13yr old breaks Maradona's World Record
Tommy Boyd 13 year old British teenager hopes to become a professional footballer one day and he kick-started his carrer with a Guinness World Record
Recently during an event at Henley College in Henley-upon-Thames, UK, the boy broke the record for the Fastest time to complete 10 Maradona seven football (soccer) tricks.
Argentina football legend Diego Maradona famous trick moving the ball between the two feet, knees, shoulders and head – in a speedy 29.78 seconds. Tommy completed this challenging juggling trick.He broke the previous record of 35.47 seconds which was achieved by multiple record-breaking football freestyler John Farnworth (UK) a few months earlier. In his application he told “I decided to break the Maradona world record because I’m passionate about my ambition to become a professional footballer”. Showcasing his impressive skills, the young soccer player also had another reason for attempting a Guinness World Records title, a year ago his grandfather sadly passed away from Leukaemia he wanted to raise money for the blood cancer charity Bloodwise in his memory. After the record was confirmed he said, “Always strive for excellence in everything you do. Together we were amazing and I know that my Grandad is so very proud,”
